Driver 76 is a Driver entry released for the PSP. It was released May 8th 2007 in the US and 3 days later in Europe. It acts like a prequel, set two years before Driver: Parallel Lines. It was the first game in the series to be released on PSP, developed by Ubisoft Reflections and Sumo Digital.

Faithful to the series spirit, Driver '76 is an action driving game that features Hollywood-style car chases while also letting the player experience the open environment on foot. The game thrusts the player into the heart of the 1970s, through 27 missions divided into six main plots. Players can take side jobs, earning cash that can be used to modify their rides.
Missions[]
Mission structure is similar to Driver: Parallel Lines, where driving is an important aspect in gameplay, shooting still remains in the game. Most missions are driving based while some are shootouts or when Ray sits in the back of a car and shoots incoming enemies.
One difference that sets Driver 76 from the rest of the Driver series is that it uses comic-styled illustrations rather than cinematic cutscenes, making the game behave more like a comic book.
There are 26 main missions, grouped into 7 chapters. Cash, cars and weapons are rewarded if missions are successfully completed.

Ray - The main character
Chen Chi - She's the woman that Ray falls in love with.
Zhou - Chen Chi's father, Triad boss.
Jimmy - Goes out with Chen Chi, Betrays Zau and the Triads. He's got his own empire, which you spend a fair time of the game taking down.
Slink - Ray's friend (Also featured in Driver: Parallel Lines)
Soundtrack[]
Like it's chronological sequel, Driver 76 features a mixed licensed and original songs soundtrack from the 1970's, including Funkadelic, Can, The Stranglers, War, Iggy Pop, Blondie, David Bowie, Parliament, and so on. Most of the songs in this game were re-used from Driver: Parallel Lines.
